FAQs about ProjectBoard

FAQs about ProjectBoard

  1. Is it possible to remove the bottom fixed titles for every section as it is more vague?
    1. No. We're using a consistent template, including the section titles, on purpose as it allows for a better experience for visitors and judges.
  2. Is there a way to add a new section to the project?
    1. No. We're using a consistent template with specific sections, on purpose, as it allows a better experience for visitors and judges at our event.
  3. Can I add 2 videos in the video section on ProjectBoard (both demo video and presentation)? Currently, it only allows me to add one.
    1. No, not in the Video section. The demo video could be added to any of the Why?, How?, What?, So What?, or What's Next sections using the Photo or Video button. Note that judges reviewing the projects are only expecting one one-minute video in the Video section, so they might not watch a video in another section. Ideally, a finalist would be able to show the video at their CWSF project on a mobile device/laptop.
  4. How do I remove the instructions in each section?
    1. If you've used ProjectBoard in the past, you know that you were required to delete all the instruction text before adding your own to each section. Obviously, this wasn't ideal if you got halfway through adding content and wanted to check the instructions. In 2024, ProjectBoard changed this functionality so that the instructions are now separate from the content. These instructions are only visible to those working on the project; they're hidden when the project is viewed by the public.
  5. What does the Export Button do on ProjectBoard?
    1. The Export button in ProjectBoard allows students to export a text file containing all the text in their ProjectBoard project. This can be used when creating a regional fair or CWSF poster, or if they’re required to submit a hard copy of their project for school evaluation.
