As part of the Canada-Wide Science Fair registration, students are required to upload their projects to ProjectBoard so that they can be showcased virtually to visitors across the country. When to use the ProjectBoard Help Center:

  1. I'm having trouble adding images or text
  2. I'm having trouble saving my project on ProjectBoard
  3. I want to change my display name on ProjectBoard
  4. I want to know how I can export my project from ProjectBoard

When to use the YSC Help Center:

  1. My ProjectBoard project has been locked and I can't edit it! (This sounds like a ProjectBoard issue, but it's actually likely because the deadline for project editing has passed).
  2. I can't link to my project in ProjectBoard from the YSC Portal
  3. I can't connect my project partner to my account
  4. I have questions about what information to include in my project on ProjectBoard
  5. I can't login/I've forgotten my password to the YSC Portal
  6. I'm having trouble with registration

  1. I have more than one ProjectBoard project, how do I link the right one? To link to the right ProjectBoard project, login to the YSC Portal and select the correct project in the ProjectBoard section. Your project must be set to public in ProjectBoard in order to display in the YSC Portal. 
  2. My project contains sensitive information that is not yet published. Do I add that to ProjectBoard too? The contents of your ProjectBoard project will be visible to anyone visiting your project online, so you should be careful about how much detail you present. The public doesn’t need to know all the details, but you should be able to share the basics – what you were investigating and why, an overview of what you did and what you found, why it’s important, how you might extend the project, etc. You can reserve specific details for judges, and you can include a statement that more details will be presented orally. That said, the judges will need to see your results and be able to review your methodology to evaluate your work.
