Troubleshooting CWSF Website/App Issues

This article will help you resolve common issues with the CWSF website and app, including login problems and notification settings.

Login Problems

"ERROR (cannot-authorize): Can not authorize"

This error typically means you're using an incorrect email address.

Solution:

  • Use the exact same email address you used to register for the CWSF (the one receiving CWSF emails)
  • If the error page appears, quickly click the "Login with YSC Portal" button several times to return to the login form
  • Try again with the correct email address

"ERROR (invalid state): Invalid state"

This is usually a temporary connection issue between the app and the YSC Portal.

Solution:

  • Quickly click the "Login with YSC Portal" button several times - this typically resolves the issue
  • If that doesn't work, try:
    • Clearing your browser cookies and cache
    • Using an incognito/private browsing window
    • Switching to a different browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.)

"Wrong Email or Password" Error

Solution:

  • Double-check your email address and password and try again
  • If you've forgotten your password, click the "Forgot password?" link to reset it
  • Make sure you're using your YSC Portal credentials (the same ones you used during registration)

Notification Issues

Not Receiving Notifications

Solution:

  • After logging in, go to the Notifications page
  • Click the "Subscribe to Notifications" button
  • Important: You must do this on EACH device where you want to receive notifications
  • For mobile phones, first save the app to your home screen, then subscribe to notifications
  • Check your device's notification settings to ensure the browser or app has permission to send notifications

Receiving Too Many Notifications from Chatrooms
